Est. 5 meter female shark observed and tagged on right side w/PSRF ID tag 014.

Est. 14’ female shark observed and tagged on right side with PSRF transmitter #60480.

Shark carries algae covered Floy tags on both sides, tag on right appeared to be yellow under algae.

At around noon Greg on rec vessel Seahorse reported via marine VHF that a large shark with yellow ID tag 003 on left side, was orbiting them.  They were apprx 150 meters outside of us in about 90’ of water.

 

Shark 3, 1214, 37’06.410 – 122’20.486, est 15’ female carrying PSRF ID 003 high on Port side, (IDtagged on 10/01/05). Attached TOPP transmitter (05-099) to left side. Shark 4, 1230, previously transmittered shark (right side), tagged again with white PSRF floy on left.

Shark 5, 1251, no lat/long, ‘bitehead’, est 15’ female with bite marks on head and distinct tail notch. Several sightings without ID are made as well, tagged sharks returned.

Shark 6, 1310, 37’06.039 – 122’20.179, Attached TOPP transmitter (470-500) to left side. – placed below and aft of dorsal. 14.5’ female.

Shark 2, 0835, 36’06.389 – 122’20.612, carries white PSRF ID tag on left side. 14’ female.

Predation observed, 0848, 36’06.380 – 122’20.684. probable sealion; missed event.

Shark 4, 0927, 37’06.279 – 122’20.557, est 14 ‘ no sex or ID, fleeting glimpse.

Predation observed: 1025, while positioning for 2nd drift a predation was observed off of N end, blood in water/birds, no shark or prey observed.

Predation observed: 1041, 37’06.560 – 122’20.649, off N end in 55’ depth.

Shark ‘Sicle’w/ transmitter on left side observed, est 15 female. Probable sealion, prey consumed before it could be ID’d, not a lot of blood, birds excited. Also observed shark with white Floy tag on left side, tagged on Nov 19, 05.
